How to Add Multiple Links in a Single Facebook Carousel Ad
If you've ever tried to promote more than one product in a single Facebook ad, you've probably run into this problem: you upload multiple images, but Ads Manager only gives you one Website URL field for the entire ad. Every image ends up pointing to the same page, no matter what it actually shows.
This usually happens because of a newer setting in Ads Manager called Advantage+ creative, which automatically assembles your uploaded images into an ad — but collapses them all under a single shared link in the process.
The good news: you can still build a proper Carousel ad, where every card has its own image, title, description, and destination link. Here's exactly how.
Step-by-Step: Setting Up Individual Links Per Card
1. Turn off Advantage+ creative
This is the most important step. While creating your ad, find the "Advantage+ creative" toggle and switch it off. Leaving it on is what causes Facebook to auto-generate the ad and merge everything into one link.
2. Select the Carousel option
Under Ad Creative / Ad Setup, choose Carousel as the format instead of "Single image or video." This switches you into the manual carousel builder.
3. Find the Card option (the "+" icon)
Inside the carousel builder, look for a "+" Add Card button. Each click adds a brand-new card to your carousel — this is different from just adding another image to a single ad.
4. Choose Image or Video for that card
Pick whichever media type fits the product you're featuring on that card.
5. Upload the image or video
Add the specific creative for that card.
6. Fill in the Title, Description, and URL
This is where the real fix happens. Each card gets its own:
- Title (headline)
- Description
- Website URL — the exact page you want that card to open
Set the URL to the specific product or landing page you want that card to lead to.
7. Repeat for every additional product
Click "+ Add Card" again, and repeat steps 3–6 for each product. You can add up to 10 cards in a single carousel, and each one can point to a completely different page.
Why This Matters
A carousel with individual links per card lets you run one ad that:
- Showcases multiple products or plans in a single post
- Sends each viewer straight to the product they're actually interested in, instead of a generic page
- Tends to perform better than single-image ads, since people can browse several offers without needing separate ad clicks
